A Little About Us

Hi, we are Marina and Ben Smith, the proud owners of LocomotiveRides, a small family-owned business located in Canton, NY. We are also the owners of Thousand Words Photography and local BnB hosts. Ben is a native of the North Country, while I (Marina) am a transplant from Europe. We met by chance on an ordinary afternoon in Canton, NY, and our village has become an integral part of our personal story ever since. We are parents to four amazing children, and our lives revolve around them. We take great pride in being a part of our lovely community, and we are passionate about capturing stories through our photography and embarking on new adventures. While owning an entertainment ride was never part of our original plan, we have an interesting story to tell, which we would be delighted to share with you soon.
